If you were to be featured on Wife Swap/Trading Spouses, what kind of ‘wife’ would you be?
How your family will be represented? And it would be “worse” the woman of your family would have to be treated, and how your husband / significant other would be treated? I was wondering since I watch Wife Swap. Wondering what you moms out there, what you pensez.Prenez care.

I really don’t think i’m extreme enough in any way, to be given a “type” or even be considered for wife swap, to be honest! Lol.
BUT I guess my *opposite* parent, and the worst family for me to deal with, would be a super crazy religious nut, who was REALLY strict, demanded a spotlessly tidy house, forced my children to wear ankle-length, high collared dresses, who enforced gender role and stuff like that. OR just plain white trash, who kept disgusting, unhygienic houses and thought it was *funny* to leave dead mouses around the house…(like one family I saw on the show).
My husband would probably deal with it by using sarcasm (my families favorite weapon) or just simply grabbing the children and running…fast. Lol.
**Des- You use the words “moderate” and “reasonable” as much as V.C Andrews uses “soft bosom” and “the wind whispered to me”. Or as much as Stephanie Meyer uses “chargrin”. Do I see a career as a writer of tragic novels?

i’m off the hook because you couldn’t possibly pay me to be on a show like that. plus, like lea, i’m way too moderate and reasonable to make good tv.
but perhaps i’d be the free-range parent. i’d like to think i’m the antithesis of the helicopter parent. in a moderate and reasonable way, of course….
my husband would simply take over until i got back.
*now you’re just being mean, lea.

I don’t think I’m to much of a fanatic to have a type but my opposite would be a cluttered house. I hate clutter so much that I don’t own 1 nick-nack.

I love watching this show but I also feel I am a little of both when they have the moms on there. I am not extreme the way they are. I would love to be on that show just so my hubby can see how much I really do!

they’d probably portray us a the “religious” family. Although we are far from fanatics…we go to 2 services per week. I can’t think of anything else people may view as really one sided in our family.

It would be interesting. We are Yogi’s and vegetarians and do lots of community service. Treat others with respect and kindness. If the vegetarian diet was not healthy for the swap they can eat as they wish, but their conduct must be kind, caring and respectful at all times.
If the other wife could not cook vegetarian meals my family would be miserable.

I would be the highly-structured, uber-organized, rigidly-scheduled over-achiever (notice how long I have refrained from using the word
“a n a l ” ), probably also the hippie-type.
My exact opposite swap would be the uneducated Christian ( the kind that has not studied their religion, has no idea why they are a Christian), or the kind where appearances are everything, or those who lack structure or parental discretion.
My Husband would probably check into a hotel with the kids for the duration of the taping should they send him a swap like the above.
