Depends upon your perception of what God wants. I personally believe it is sin, simply because the Bible says so. If it separates you from God, it’s not good. It’s fun, sure. But worth eternity? nah. See the big picture.
Had numerous friends back in the 60’s who experimented with swinging back when it was a fairly new phenom. My wife & I did not. We are now 3 yrs away from our 50th anniversary. The swingers- NONE LEFT TOGETHER. Can you REALLY love someone when you share ‘em like a piece of meat? Donthinkso!
Sad middle aged couples who cant stand each other any more but wont admit it, that go out and have sex with other sad middle aged couples who cant stand each other any more but wont admit it.
The swinger lifestyle is not for everyone. Swinging is NOT a fix if you are in a failing relationship.
However, if you and your partner are deeply committed, communicate well and are sexually adventurous, then the lifestyle may be for you. If you are seriously interested, there are several web sites devoted to the lifestyle. Swingersboard.com has several informative forums. Personally, what two consenting adults do is strictly up to them. What my spouse and I do behind separate doors can be quite enjoyable
[for the nay-sayers above, I've been happily married for 22 years and we are more in love today then ever]
I’m not a swinger myself but I know couples who are. They enjoy the lifestyle and are very devoted to each other. Kids, family, solid jobs, investments, and great attitudes!
If you have never experienced the swinger lifestyle first-hand or are not associated with folks who do, why do you pass judgement? Not trying to flame here but I’m just curious to know why minds are so incredibly closed that you can’t see someone else’s viewpoint?
I have recently gotten into the lifestyle and I love it. I am single but I know several other couples who are very happy in their marriage and have a great family. I dont think this lifestyle is for everyone though. You must definatley like sex and not be jealous. I actually think if both parnters are open and honest that it is a good way from keeping the other from cheating.
It requires a very strong marriage, and a solid set of rules to manage this lifestyle.
I can tell you this from our experience, the requirements for open and honest discussions and communication have deepened our relationship and brought us closer than we ever were prior to entering this lifestyle.
What many don’t understand is that swinging is a form of recreation, what we used to call in my college days sport fucking – it has nothing to do with looking for fulfillment or love with another person.
It is a shared experience that – if handled correctly can dramatically improve both your relationship and your sex lives.

I think it all sounds fun, but I don’t think a relationship can really last with a lifestyle like that. In the end it would never work.

Sex is sex, LOVE is LOVE – 2 different things.
