Why have more people chosen a open lifestyle(wife swapping)?
Just came out of a relationship purely sexual experimentation and such. We had the fun stuff trio and others. But man, my hometown has a lot of swingers in it. Didn’t realize how many we had here. When did it become ok for a spouse to apply to its other important if all goes well for having sex with others?

I just don’t think it’s okay in a loving relationship. Too many things can go wrong. If it’s in a casual relationship and all parties are cool, then go for it.

A person who respects his/her spouse and respects their marriage would never suggest this.
It betrays what they’re supposed to be about. They marriage becomes cr*p.

I have been in relationships that were rather open, but I didn’t care deeply about my significant other at the time. I am married now, and I can’t imagine my husband being with another woman…especially if I was there to witness it. Talk about causing emotional stress on the relationship!
If you are comfortable with swinging, by all means, enjoy it!

Never heard of the hippie culture, and free love? Wife swapping has been around for a very long time (Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice a 1969 movie about? – you guessed it!). I would say that people may be more open now about their swinging, not that there is more of it.
That said, I would have to agree that marriage should be between only two people. You shouldn’t get married if you want to have a swinging lifestyle.

I think this is all a terrible idea. There is no concept of monogomy or committment anymore in marriage. You can ask your spouse, but don’t be surprised if the answer is divorce papers.

To answer your question, you will know the best time to ask her if they are interested. You know your significant other the best and you will know when she is ready to be receptive to ideas. If she is the kind of woman who only has sex at night with the lights off in one position, the idea will probably sent her running away from you. But, if she’s been presented with several of these ideas in a fantasy scenario and she’s open to those, then discussions can grow from there.
Just remember, that swinging is something a couple does TOGETHER. It’s not one person getting to have sex with others. Both of you have to want to do this or things will not work.
